Business planning made oh so simple

For the size of a small bite you get the world and eight essential nuggets for business success. According to Sable&Hawkes that is.

Number one.
We would never discount the value of strategic corporate planning, but above all else, a clear, concise and measurable business development strategy is essential to the success of any business.

Number two.
In the first year of any business, the key to a second lies in how you look after your newly won customers, they are your route to sustainable growth and as advocates, the best tool in your marketing armoury

Number three.
The biggest source of capital, and cost, in any business is time. Use it wisely.

Number four.
One question you will always get asked is “so what does your business do?”.And if you’re still talking after 30 secs then your prospect will be drifting ever so quietly away. Everyone needs a one line answer to what they do.

Number five.
Regularly use customer feedback surveys to understand what your customers like and don’t like. And make sure that everyone in your business reads the best and worst customer feedback.

Number six.
Focus your internal communications around showing your people the connection between what they do and what that means to your customers.

Number seven.
Always, and forever, place customer service at the heart of your business.

Number eight.
Culture and profit are linked. No, they really are. Happy people make a happy business, a stable business and a business most likely to pull together in the good times, or bad.
