Great Ormond St Reception
Sable designed and project managed the spectacular new seascape-themed main reception at GOSH. Intending to create a warmer welcome for visitors, the project included a reception desk shaped like a pirate ship, a revolving rock pool floor projection and a 60ft mural featuring shoals of colourful fish drawn by children staying at the hospital.
Over 100 children and young people took part in workshops all over the hospital, painting their fish which were then used to compliment an undersea environment that we designed. We then oversaw the production and installation of the mural. The resulting piece celebrates the creativity of the patients of Great Ormond Street and gives their work a real prominence in the new main entrance.
