Which is why Mills&Reeve are actively committed to minimising their impact on the environment and ensuring they promote environmental sustainability in all aspects of their operations. And to further that commitment the firm have embedded ESG even deeper in the organisation. Growing the internal team and incorporating sustainability experts into the diversity, inclusion and wellbeing team to encourage greater integration and good governance.
What is ESG?
ESG stands for environmental, social and governance. These are called pillars in ESG frameworks and represent the 3 main topic areas that companies in this area are expected to report in. The goal of ESG is to capture all the non-financial risks and opportunities inherent to a company’s day to day activities.
Sable&Hawkes were ideally placed to assist our clients in this matter. The heritage of Sable&Hawkes lies squarely in the world of corporate reporting. We began as corporate marketing, financial and recruitment report specialists, and as the CSR and laterly ESG movement gained prominence, we have become increasingly experienced in integrated ESG and sustsainability reporting. We are also the agency that developed the Mills & Reeve’s positioning and visual identity. Our task here was to deliver a clear and accessible report, on brand and in style.
To us, an integrated ESG report provides a strategic picture that explains how a business creates and sustains value now and in the future. Recognising that meaningful reporting
must include stewardship of more than just financial capital and include intellectual, natural, social or other forms of capital, where these are material to the business, as well.
For this report, a structure was used that provided a summary, snapshot, more detailed and specific reporting areas and case studies in a finished document both comprhensive but also clear and easy to access and visually striking.
