NHS Creative Arts
Sable&Hawkes were the creative lead in a collaboration between Imperial Health Charity, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation that took the work of legendary artists Josef and Anni Albers as the foundation of a new NHS creative arts project for the children's intensive care unit at St Mary's Hospital, London.
Inspired by Albers' iconic geometric patterns, the project adapted and applied artwork to wall murals and used prints from Josef's Homage to the Square series as inspiration for new ward and corridor environments and Anni’s material patterns for bespoke bed screens and wallpaper.
